CATERPILLAR VALLEY (NEW ZEALAND) MEMORIAL Longueval, Somme, France Two South Africans, who served in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and killed in the Somme in September 1916, are commemorated on this memorial. Registered on the Roll of South Africans who fell 1914-1918 edited after the War by the South African authorities.
